The Freetown Waste to Energy Project
Infinitum Energy proposes to develop the Freetown waste-to-energy project in Hastings, south of Freetown, Sierra Leone. The new waste-to-energy facility will provide reliable baseload power, complementing the country’s existing hydropower supply and addressing energy shortages during the dry season. The project aligns with Sierra Leone’s Nationally Determined Contributions, advancing goals for renewable energy access, improved waste management infrastructure and integrated resource management. CEMMATS has been subcontracted to RSK Environmental Ltd for the provision of a full suite of international-lender-standard
ESHIA services, supporting the client to achieve financial close for the project
