Sierra Leone Connectivity And Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Project (SL-CAMIP)
This project is centered on improving urban mobility and road safety within Sierra Leone by developing efficient public transportation infrastructure and ensuring safer routes. As urban areas in Sierra Leone, particularly in Freetown, experience significant growth, there is an increasing need to address congestion, traffic safety, and environmental concerns.

Tasks
The following services are required as per the Terms of Reference:
- The Consultant shall carry out passenger demand studies and traffic counts on all the identified ‘additional’ routes.
a) The studies will assess the current and future demand for public transportation on the additional route;
b) Determine the most suitable types and sizes of the bus fleet to meet the demand and;
c) Identify any opportunities or challenges in implementing the recommended bus fleet.
d) These studies will also take into consideration data collected during the IRUMP.
e) The Consultant shall conduct road safety inspections and provide recommendations to be included in the conceptual design of the additional routes. - The Consultant shall provide conceptual designs for junction realignment and spot improvements along the additional routes, where necessary.
- The Consultant shall provide conceptual route designs for the additional routes inclusive of bus lanes, bus stops, signages, traffic calming measures, traffic signalization, etc.
- The consultant shall provide recommendations on the climate resilience measures to be incorporated in the design of the infrastructure works under component 1.
- Assess the impact of the IRUMP routes operations on ticketing, scheduling and private operator efficiency on the proposed new routes and make recommendations for improvement of the services.
