Resettlement Action Plan (RAP)

The Bekongkor III Hydro Power project is a scheme originally planned in 1971 with the aim of building a dam, taking advantage of the head between two waterfalls on the Sewa River, in order to produce electricity. With a planned installed capacity of 160MW and annual generation of 799GWh, the facility is designed to produce electricity to serve Kono, neighbouring mining companies and Makeni.
