SierrAqua Limited operates a large scale multitrophic and sustainable aquaculture project, using innovative low-impact technology in the Bonthe District of Sierra Leone, with a target area of 5,000 hectares of land-based ponds. The project will produce organic black tiger shrimp for export, tilapia for domestic consumption, and seaweed for export. The Company aims to develop a world-leading integrated business from genetics to the end consumer, in compliance with global standards set by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

CEMMATS was contracted to conduct the ESIA studies to satisfy EPA-SL requirements for securing an EIA Licence.
