ESIA Addendum on Vimetco’s Planned Operations in Mokanji

Project Brief

Sierra Mineral Holdings 1 Ltd (SMHL) intends to carry out development works in the Mokanji Township involving:

  • Installation of washing and drying processing plants
  • Construction of In-valley earth-built tailings dams

SMHL required the preparation of a site-specific Environmental Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) covering the construction and operational phases of the development projects. The ESHIA study was done to satisfy the local Environment Protection Agency Sierra Leone (EPA-SL) requirements for EIA Licencing.
